Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to present Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our neighborhood.
Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary college trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, ensuring protected and inclusive play spaces for all children.
The event is expected to be on January 15,on the 15th of January,2024,at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
